The big day is nearly here. A check of the forecast says cloudy but dry.... we'll have to wait and see for that! At this time the BBQ is still a-go-go! So get yer wellies out, find your renewal money and dust off your eating trousers! In terms of times/where etc please see my first post on this thread. For those that went last year probably the same place near Clives gaf. It would be useful for people setting up (particulalry those with the BBQ's) to meet at 6.45 so we can get 'em fired in time for the ravening hoards! Those of you who have pledged stuff please remember to bring it along. It is unlikely that this event will be cancelled, but in case we have last minute issues - eg: monsoon conditions/floods please check the forum before you leave! If there's no post saying its cancelled its ON! See you thursday!

A massive thank you to all those who made the bbq a great night out! Firstly, I have to say thanks to the membership that came along.... nearly 50 members and £204 raised for SAS. A total result when you think that the year before last it was a bbq at my house with 30 people, then last year a bbq in the park with 40 people and £60 to SAS for Petes crimbo tat! This year quality raffle prizes (awesome job 'dryd and our sponsors), cheesy music (ta Yaz), no food poisoning (good job the chefs!), careful shopping (nicely done Steve) and a world of chat, laughs and smiles all round! Lastly a big thanks to Clive for happily letting us use his gaf for 'emergencies'! Good job the BSC!

Gutted I couldn't make it. Sarah had her eyes zapped that afternoon and she was doing her best Steve Wonder impression so I was holding the fort. (She can see this morning - better than when she had contacts so it looks like it was worth the hassle.) £200+ quid for SAS is a great result! DP

Soz for the delay in posting, but big thanks to all involved in sorting out the bbq last week. Especially big thanks to O, firstly for manning the bbq all evening and secondly for making me wait patiently 'til things were cooked properly, so as not to give me food poisoning Rog
